    @ bunnyhanyou… …
@ bunnyhanyou…Just how do you figure gf diets are healthier? The gf diet is higher in fat , sugar and refined carbohydrates than a normal gluten containing diet. After about 20 years on the gf diet I needed a sigmoid colectomy for severe diverticulitis and a twisted colon.

Also, I have it too …
Also, I have it too, and I don’t find it as “horrible” as you describe. My parents and I only eat gluten free foods that we buy at organic stores, and I feel totally fine. No diarrhea or stomach cramps anymore.

I was sick for two years before I found out thats what it was btw. I got an endoscopy to to figure it out.

    Celiac does suck! I …
Celiac does suck! I know because I have it. I was very malnourished with very low cholesterol and had chronic diarrhea. To top it all off, My mom died from complications from type 1 diabetes. It is a miserable disease if you really have it. I honestly believe it is being overdiagnosed right now. There’s money to be made with all the books and specialty foods.

    Elisabeth never had …
Elisabeth never had a biopsy. Dr. Green diagnosed her based on a gene test ant the fact that she says she feel better on a gluten free diet. This is bad medicine! I’m glad he isn’t my doctor. If there were a medication for celiac, he would need a better diagnosis than that! But, seeing as how the diet cant’ really hurt anyone, he figures his shoddy diagnosis can’t harm her either. Elisabeth need to do a full gluten challenge with the proper blood tests and a small bowel biopsy.
